Athletics day

The weather is looking good for today. 

Remember the children can come in sport mufti but do still need their school sun hats. Also a named drink bottle would be helpful. 

We will begin at 1:30 on the court by Pohutukawa.

Discovery time

Well, it's been a while, but we are back into posting. This week we had discovery with an All Blacks theme. There was touch rugby, rugby ball design and rugby top design among other things. Have a look at what we were doing. 

School DISCO!!

We had a heap of fun at the disco! We danced, chatted, ate and enjoyed ourselves. We came dressed as a character from a movie. 

 

Duffy assembly

We were very excited to have our Duffy assembly yesterday. Look at the great job we did of covering our box .... But even better were the books we found inside!!

Cultural celebration

Last month for our cultural celebration, Karaitiana brought in some of her special Indian saris. They were very beautiful and incredibly sparkly. We liked them a lot! Nevaeh-Rose kindly put one of them on for us.

Celebration Day

Last Friday we celebrated our topic learning. The students had decided to use their kitchen science to help the people of Nepal. Pohutukawa and Kowhai had lots of ideas and settled on a whole school  mufti day and a junior school market day! Kowhai decided to make fruit kebabs for the market day. Come and have a look at how it went...

Then it was Kebab time - lots to make! Great team work Kowhai! 

And then it was off to the market day. YUM!

And there was chocolate bread... Interesting science experiment! But was it popular?

In the afternoon the whole school put out their coins on the Nepalese flag AND guess how much we raised? 

It was $255... We were very pleased!
